What is Vestibular Rehabilitation

All throughout human history, mankind has speculated about the existence of a supposed “sixth sense.” Some have suggested that this sixth sense might be a sort of precognition. Others thought it might be something like being able to perceive the thoughts of others. In the film, “The Sixth Sense,” the sense in question was the ability to see dead people.

While science has no evidence as to the existence of any of the above abilities, there exists one human ability that could easily be classified as our sixth sense. What is this amazing ability, you ask? It is our innate sense of balance.

Expanding Choices For Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

Expanding Choices For Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

Recovering from injuries and surgical procedures can be a protracted and making an attempt process. Every person’s state of affairs is completely different; not everybody reacts the same to injuries or surgery. Existing health issues, the extent of the procedure performed, and the required level of recovery all need distinctive rehabilitation program options tailored to every individual case.

Completely different Rehabilitation Needs

Some patients are entering therapy as a result of of injuries sustained on the job whether or not caused by an accident, sustained from long term stress and strain, or from some occupational hazard. Amazing Autumn Aromas

Summer has definitely passed us by; the temperatures are cooler, the days are shorter and school is in full swing. Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The days are sunny, pleasant and mild-not too hot and not too cold. Exceptions are rainy days, of course! The best part of autumn is the changing leaf color-absolutely stunning! I love the red and gold leaves mixed in with the green and yellow; Mother Nature cant be beat when it comes to painting the landscape. Taking a walk in the woods can be so relaxing and calming. There is a different smell in the air and one whiff tells you what time of year it is-no need to look at a calendar.

Now, with the onset of autumn I get the urge to bake. Cinnamon buns, pumpkin pie, apple pie, streudel, cookies-you get the idea! Unfortunately I do not need to eat all the goodies I make. One way to get the scent of baked goods in the house is to burn candles or use reed diffusers or incense. You can also use scented bath and body products and fragrance oils in oil warmers. Fragrances like Apple Cider, Apple Crisp, Apple Cobbler, Cinnamon Bun, Frosted Pumpkin, Grandmas Kitchen, Hot Apple Pie and Pumpkin Brulee place the wonderful scents of fall baking in the home but without the fuss of preparing these goodies and without any of the calories. Sometimes just inhaling these scents is enough to satisfy the baking urge; it is like having the baked goods sitting on the counter. Somehow your brain registers these aromas and you feel satisfied and comforted. Of course there are those times when this is not enough and I simply must bake and eat a pie or some buns!

If you are not one of those people who likes to bake or simply does not have the time to bake but enjoys the scents of fall, try using some other fragrances like Autumn Harvest, Dragons Blood, Florida Fall, Harvest Spice, Thanksgiving or Welcome Home. These fragrances combine all the aromas of fall-cinnamon, clove, earthy and woodsy scents, autumn leaves and flowers and warm vanilla. Bring all the amazing autumn scents into your home and relax in falls ambience.
